Accomplice
From Encyclopædia
An accomplice, in criminal law, is a person who participates knowingly in the commission of a crime. If there is common intent between the person who commits the act and the accomplice, the accomplice is implicated regardless of whether he or she is present. Sometimes the term is used to include accessories after the fact--persons who knowingly gave help to the criminal after the crime was committed. An accused cannot be convicted of a crime on the uncorroborated testimony of an accomplice; in some jurisdictions, accessories have been classed as accomplices to exclude their testimony.
